Today's Honeywell took shape in the fall of 1999 with the merger of two global leaders, AlliedSignal Inc. and Honeywell Inc. The merged company established in Sep/2002, the Honeywell Tianjin Global Design Center is focused on developing products for global automation and control markets. The Center is co-located in existing Automation Control Products manufacturing facility in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area in northeastern China, about 100km from Beijing. With the business growth in Asia-Pacific & Global market and increased need for new products, Honeywell Tianjin Global Design Center are playing key role in Honeywell and TEDA. The team in Tianjin employs best in class tools and processes for all new designs, including standard MCAD and ECAD software development tools, standard Honeywell product development methodologies, and Design for Six Sigma tools etc. The first products to be developed at this facility include thermostats, actuators, cooling control system and other control components for Buildings automation and Home controls.
