Founded in 1940 on the brink of the Second World War, Dr. Haldor Topsoe started the company based on a commitment to heterogenous catalysis.

Topsoe’s research activities are focused according to feedback from industrial practice. Engineering design parameters are firmly based on in-house knowledge and technology resulting from research and development efforts. Our catalysts and processes are developed in close collaboration between research, engineering, and production, ensuring the creation of catalysts and processes, which meet and exceed clients’ expectations.

Topsoe's China office has set up broad business relationships with various Chinese clients within the following areas:
·sales promotion of Topsoe catalysts and technologies for the refining, ammonia, methanol and sulphuric acid industries, including revamp of ammonia and methanol plants for capacity increase and energy saving
·coordination of technical service for and communication with clients in the above industries
·assisting Chinese clients to materialize projects with Danish government mixed credit
·Haldor Tops&Phie Catalyst (Tianjin) Co., Ltd invested totally over 1 billion RMB in Nangang Industrial Zone, Tianjin Economic-technological Development Zone in 2013, currently company is under construction. The new plant will go into operation in 2015. 托普索在中国
托普索公司北京代表处成立于1985年，承担着中国的销售及技术服务支持工作。到目前为止，托普索已与中国客户签订了100多项工艺包合同和1000多个催化剂合同。
根据公司战略性决策的需要，同时为了拓展在中国的市场份额，2010年托普索在北京代表处的基础上成立了托普索北京分公司。
现在托普索北京分公司有近100名员工，负责中国及周边国家的销售、工程计算和技术服务工作，2012年获得的合同总额超过10亿元人民币。
托普索催化剂（天津）有限公司于2013年在天津经济技术开发区南港工业区投资10个亿人民币成立了催化剂工厂，公司目前正处于筹备阶段，预计2015年全面投产。公司将提供有竞争力的薪酬福利，海外培训及职业发展的机会，良好的工作环境及氛围，欢迎有识之士加入到公司的大家庭中来。
